Mariel’s absolutely true and correct version of the story…
David (in frustration): There’s no one good left to ask to Winter Ball!
Mariel: I’ll go with you if you don’t find anyone else to ask.
David: Really?
Mariel: Sure. I need someone to stand next to so I can have a couples picture.
Yep. No one good left. Ouch. Single tear.
David’s Version
David’s undeniably and completely accurate version of the story…
David (in despair): There’s no one left to ask to Winter Ball! I guess I’ll end up going alone…ALONE!
Mariel: If you don’t have anyone to go with, I’ll go with you.
David (slightly hopeful): Really?
Mariel: Sure.
David: (Yay! Someone likes me!)

So we went to Winter Ball and somewhere along the line while watching David Letterman or maybe a Weird Al concert on TV this conversation happened… |
David: Do you want to go out with me?
Mariel: Like to a movie?
David: Yeah, to a movie and maybe a movie after that and a movie after that.
Then we went to see Metro and a movie after that and many movies after that. College and grad school and law school. Berkeley and Los Angeles and San Francisco. Disneyland and Disneyland and Disneyland. Now, here we are.

what i want to know is, where is this famous winter ball picture?! and who ever heard of a movie called Metro? well, i guess i can try to dig out my old prom pictures, since i have all of yours anyways. har. congrats.
